Man United boss Erik ten Hag slams Cristiano Ronaldo and others for early Old Trafford exit

Cristiano Ronaldo left Old Trafford before the end of Manchester United’s pre-season friendly with Rayo Vallecano last Sunday.

The Red Devils wrapped up their pre-season preparations with a 1-1 draw against the La Liga outfit.

The match marked Ronaldo's first pre-season appearance after the Portugal international missed the tour of Thailand and Australia due to a family issue.
The 37-year-old played the opening 45 minutes before being replaced by Amad Diallo, who scored just two minutes after coming onto the field.

Ronaldo was not the only player to leave early, however, pictures of him exiting the ground with Diogo Dalot fuelled further speculation about his future at the club.

Ten Hag revealed his annoyance in an interview with broadcaster Viaplay, saying: "There were many more (as well as Ronaldo) who went home."

Asked if he condoned it, Ten Hag said: "Certainly not, this is unacceptable for everyone. I tell them that it's unacceptable, that we are a team, a squad and that you should stay until the end."
Ten Hag will take charge of his first competitive match as United manager on Sunday against Brighton in the Premier League.
As things stand, Ronaldo is still part of the squad and could feature against the Seagulls in the opening round of the campaign.
The forward was linked with Bayern Munich, Chelsea and even Atletico Madrid, however all three have since played down their interest.
