England international Kyle Walker has missed out on a place in the Manchester City starting line-up for Saturday's Champions League final against Inter Milan.
The full-back played a big role as the Sky Blues powered to a domestic double this season, winning both the Premier League and FA Cup.
Walker endured an injury scare in the closing minutes of last weekend's FA Cup final against Manchester United.
The player did not take part in an open training session earlier this week and manager Pep Guardiola has decided to replace the 33-year-old with Nathan Ake.
Speaking with Sky Sports News ahead of the final in Istanbul, Walker played down talk of injury.
He said: "I'm fine, I'm just getting old. I'm completely fine, it's just an extra day of recovery.
"I played a lot of minutes over the last number of weeks so the manager said just stay inside and come Saturday you will be raring to go.
"I'm fine, the minutes that I've played when everyone else was injured, I was there digging my heels in and getting through it. I won't be missing the Champions League final for anything."
Should City prevail in Saturday's final they will emulate rivals Manchester United as the only English side to ever claim the league, cup and European Cup treble.
