Man United’s Alejandro Garnacho backed to join Premier League rivals as Napoli bid is rejected

Manchester United are expected to do a lot of business in the closing days of the winter transfer window – including the potential departure of Alejandro Garnacho.
Napoli have been in discussions with the Red Devils over the Argentine, however the £60-£70m asking price appears to have scared the Italians away.
Instead, Premier League rivals Chelsea have become the new favourites to sign the Man United academy product.
The Blues are pondering whether to make a formal bid as they look to bolster their attacking options for the second-half of the season.
Garnacho, who is understood to have doubts over his position in Ruben Amorim’s system, is open to leaving Old Trafford according to media reports.
The Argentina international emerged through the Man United academy and has made 172 appearances across youth and senior levels.
Garnacho has scored 23 goals and made 14 assists for the first team, including eight goals this term.
The deal could see Garnacho reunite with former Man United man, Jadon Sancho, who joined the Stamford Bridge club on loan last August.
Chelsea are currently 4/9 favourites to sign the 20-year-old while Napoli – who saw their £50m offer rejected – are priced around the 7/2 mark.
AC Milan are the third contenders for Garnacho’s signature, though the San Siro outfit are currently the big underdogs to land the Argentine’s signature at 17/2.
