Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah stars in Adidas boot reveal featuring Ricky and Morty

Liverpool’s top goalscorer for the last five seasons has featured in a new collaboration with both Adidas and Ricky and Morty.

The video, which was posted on social media by the Egypt international, unveiled a new slime-inspired football boot by Adidas.

Salah recently signed a new three-year deal with Liverpool as he looks to spearhead the team's attack until at least the summer of 2025.
Since arriving at Anfield in 2017, Salah has become one of the most prolific strikers in world football, scoring 156 goals in 254 games for the Reds.
As well as his exploits on the field, Salah is also well known for his work off it having been a role model for the Muslim community, taking part in numerous charitable endeavours and also working with Adidas.
Salah is not the only player involved in the Ricky and Morty boot release, as he is joined by Arsenal and Netherlands legend Vivianne Miedema.
The fellow striker is currently involved in the 2022 Women's European Championship with her nation, although she has missed the last two games after testing positive for Covid.
Miedema is only 26 years old, yet she is already a legend of the women's game. The current Gunners forward is the all-time leading goalscorer in the Women's Super League and has scored more goals for her nation than any other player, both across the women's and men's teams.
The Adidas website describes their new boots as: "Put your feet firmly on the ground with a pair of Adidas X football boots. Built to harness your energy and turn it into the speed that you need to excel, adidas x are a revelation in pitch technology."
They added: "The X Speedportal is made for players with more than just speed at their disposal. The speedframe, stability system and speedskin combine to connect your mind, body and boot so you can unlock speed in all dimensions."
