    SOCCER: Bryan Reynolds is expected to finalise his move to AS Roma this week. The FC Dallas defender is set to fly to Fiumicino on Wednesday or Thursday, provided he tests negative for COVID-19.

    The 19-year-old will initially sign on loan, with an obligation to buy for €7million. FC Dallas will also receive 15% of any future transfer fee. (Corriere dello Sport)

    FOOTBALL: Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has defended his decision to opt for a field goal in the closing stages of Sunday's 31-26 loss to Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

    With Packers down eight and on the Buccaneers eight-yard line, LaFleur called off his offense on the fourth down, settling for a three-pointer from Mason Crosby.

    Buccaneers subsequently ran down the clock to secure their place in Super Bowl LV.

    BASEBALL: Philadelphia Phillies have signed Mike Adams, a 26-year-old who spent the last three summers casually pitching in a South Jersey men's league, on a professional contract.
    Adams who worked part time as a scout for the Milwaukee Brewers while co-owning the Baseball Performance Center in Pleasantville is set to become a minor-league pitcher despite never having played affiliated baseball.
    "It all happened so fast that it was hard to understand," Adams said. "It's probably the toughest time to try and get signed, so I knew I was a little bit of a long shot. But once they called and said they were going to offer me a deal, it was awesome." (Philadelphia Inquirer)
