Injury woes haunt Bayern Munich despite victory over Darmstadt

Bayern Munich clinched a hard-fought 5-2 victory in the Bundesliga, but the triumph was marred by a string of injuries that cast a shadow over their success.

Facing a resilient Darmstadt side, Bayern encountered more than just stiff opposition on the field. Saturday's game turned physical, with some rough challenges leaving several Bayern players nursing injuries, as reported by FCBayern.com.

Among the casualties, Aleksandar Pavlovic, despite enduring an elbow to the eye, received a positive update, clearing him of any major head injury. The relief comes especially as he gears up for his maiden call-up to the German national team.

However, Raphael Guerreiro's luck with injuries took another turn for the worse. The Portuguese talent, plagued by fitness issues since joining Bayern, faces yet another setback with a minor muscle strain in his left upper thigh, ruling him out of national team duties.

The spotlight, however, fell on Harry Kane, whose left ankle injury forced an early substitution just moments before the final whistle. While the injury isn't severe, Kane will seek treatment from the English national team's medical staff, with tests slated for his troublesome ankle capsule, as reported by German outlet BILD.

Addressing the situation, Bayern's sporting director Christoph Freund emphasized their collaboration with the England national team, ensuring Kane's cautious approach to recovery: "We [Bayern] are in close coordination. Harry won’t take any risks."

With pivotal fixtures including der Klassiker against Borussia Dortmund on 30 March at Allianz Arena and a Champions League showdown with Arsenal FC looming on 9 April, fans hold their breath, hoping for a swift return of all injured players to bolster Bayern's line-up.
