Hot property Mbappe has his eye on a move to Madrid

Paris Saint-Germain forward looking for property in Spanish capital, while Kennedy shuns talk of Celtic interview.

SOCCER: Kylian Mbappe is house hunting in Madrid as speculation over his future mounts.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker has yet to agree a contract extension with the French club and has long been a target for Real Madrid.

Real president Florentino Perez is known to be an admirer of the 22-year-old who is out of contract in summer 2022.

Now Goal are reporting that the PSG striker "has commissioned a trusted person to find him a home in Madrid".

And while they suggest the French forward may just be looking at expanding his property portfolio, it is impossible not to join the dots.

Real Madrid are currently 7/2 second favourites with Sky Bet to land the France international in the summer, behind Liverpool (5/2).

Mbappe, the 5/2 favourite with Paddy Power to win the 2021 Ballon d'Or, recently spoke about his future, saying: "I am in a period of reflection, but if I sign with PSG it is to be there for many years."

Kennedy not interviewing for the Celtic job

SOCCER: John Kennedy is set for a first face-to-face meeting with Celtic's new chief executive Dominic McKay before the end of the week.

However, he insists he won't treat it as an interview for the vacant manager's job.

Quoted in the Scottish Sun, Kennedy said: "It's not an interview. It's not a case of me trying to make a pitch for the job, that's never been my intention anyway."

Celtic's interim manager remains an outsider to replace Neil Lennon in the role permanently.

He is priced up at 12/1 with Paddy Power to be in charge of the Hoops on the first day of the 2021/22 season.

Eddie Howe (4/9) remains the firm favourite to succeed Lennon, despite fears the former Bournemouth boss would prefer a return to the Premier League.

Howe is a 4/1 shot to be the next Southampton manager and is 6/1 to follow Roy Hodgson at Crystal Palace.

'Now is the right time for Lions to pick Nowell'

RUGBY UNION: Jack Nowell has been backed for a Lions call-up following his comeback from injury at the weekend.

The Exeter Chiefs utility back made his first appearance since October in the win over Wasps on Saturday.

And his director of rugby, Rob Baxter, believes Nowell can force his way into Warren Gatland's plans for this summer's British and Irish Lions tour to South Africa.

"(He) would be absolutely at the peak of his game by the time you get to that Lions scenario," said Baxter.

"I would like to think, if anything, he's got a great opportunity. It's for us to hopefully give him that platform and for him to perform."
With the Lions set to take a reduced squad of 36, Nowell's versatility would also count as a major asset given he can cover full-back, wing and centre.

The 28-year-old is a 5/1 shot to make the squad with Sky Bet.

The Lions are 4/6 to win the series outright.
