Hans Vanaken trying to force move to West Ham, as Scott McTominay loan switch lurks

West Ham target Hans Vanaken is trying to force a move away from Club Brugge following 'constructive' talks with his club, however a loan deal for Scott McTominay could also be on the cards.

The 29-year-old held talks with Club Brugge on Monday to clear the air about a move to West Ham, and according to the Belgian media a transfer could go ahead if the club can find a replacement.

West Ham had reportedly made a tentative £8million bid for the Belgian international, but Club Brugge are holding out for north of £12m.

"The Vanaken camp met yesterday with #ClubBrugge . Club again indicated that it would cooperate in a transfer to #WestHam if it first finds a replacement. The atmosphere is described as 'constructive'," Tweeted Nieuwsblad Sport journalist Pieter-Jan Calcoen.

Meanwhile West Ham could also make a season-long loan swoop for Manchester United's Scott McTominay if the midfielder finds himself in the cold at Old Trafford following the arrivial of Casemiro from Real Madrid.

According to West Ham transfer ITK EXWHUemployee, manager David Moyes is a big fan of McTominay and is keen to do a deal.

"David Moyes really rates the player and spoke about him before the last Euro's and said he's one to keep an eye on although he did say that about Alex Kral as well," said EX.
"He is one to keep an eye on and I think if he's available on loan, which it isn't clear whether he is or not, but if he does suddenly become available on loan I think that's a signing that we could explore as well."
West Ham are looking for more competition in midfield, especially with Tomas Soucek's form taking a nosedive in recent months.
