Freiburg appoint Julian Schuster as coach to succeed Christian Streich

Bundesliga outfit Freiburg FC have swiftly responded to Christian Streich's impending departure as coach by unveiling his successor, Julian Schuster.

Schuster, a revered figure who once led the team as captain, will assume the coaching reins at the season's end.

Expressing his sentiments, Schuster remarked, "Taking the helm at the Sport-Club is a blend of passion and responsibility for me. I embrace this challenge with utmost dedication, humility, and respect."

Drawing upon his current role as the club's talent management coordinator, Schuster emphasized the core values that define Freiburg: "Unity, fervour, and a strong connection to our city and region. These are the principles that define us, and I eagerly anticipate fostering and advancing them alongside the players, staff, and supporters."
