Fiorentina complete double swoop for Real Madrid forward and former Tottenham goalkeeper

Fiorentina have announced two loan deals, including one for Real Madrid’s £50million flop.

Serbia international Luka Jovic will join the Serie A outfit on a two-year loan deal as he looks to reignite his career following a disappointing spell in the Spanish capital.

Fiorentina and Real Madrid will share the burden of his £4.2million salary, with the Italian club also eligible to sign the player permanently once the loan period comes to an end.

Los Blancos rolled the dice on the forward back in 2019 when they secured his signature for £50million.
Jovic caught Real's eye after scoring 27 goals in 48 games for Eintracht Frankfurt. However, he has since scored just three goals in 51 appearances for the La Liga giants.

Fiorentina have been in the market for a forward after losing both Dusan Vlahovic and Federico Chiesa to Juventus.

I Viola have also strengthened in the defensive department, having secured the signature of Pierluigi Gollini.

The goalkeeper made the move from fellow Serie A club Atalanta, but did spend the 2021/22 season on loan at Tottenham Hotspur.

The 27-year-old didn't make a single Premier League appearance, but did feature 10 times in cup competitions.
Spurs have since replaced the Italian by completing a move for Southampton shot stopper, Fraser Forster.
Gollini joins Fiorentina on a loan deal, with a £6million buy option included.
