FA Cup draw: Man City and Liverpool to meet at Wembley in semi-final clash

The semi-final ties will be played over the weekend of April 16-17 and the two teams battling it out for the Premier League title will meet.

Manchester City were handed an FA Cup semi-final against Premier League title rivals Liverpool after both reached the last four on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola's side booked their place in the last four with a 4-1 win at Southampton while Liverpool overcame a determined Nottingham Forest 1-0. Diogo Jota scored the only goal of the game in the 78th minute.

The other semi-final pitted Chelsea, victors at Middlesbrough on Saturday, against Crystal Palace, who thrashed Everton 4-0 at Selhurst Park a day later.
Chelsea have had to deal with the ongoing situation behind the scenes at the club, with current owner Roman Abramovich facing sanctions from the UK government.
With a new owner imminent at the London-based club, Tuchel praised his side's focus on the club's on-pitch performances.
"We were very focused, very serious, from the beginning we showed the quality in the decisive moments, and scored two early goals.
"Yeah, I'm very happy and I'm also very impressed. We accepted at some point the situation, we did not cause it and nothing we can do will change it.
"But what is in our hands is to stay focused, set an example."
Palace meanwhile are dreaming of winning silverware under Patrick Vieira.
The Eagles endured a tricky start at Selhurst Park but Marc Guehi's 25-minute opener helped settle any lingering nerves and Jean-Philippe Mateta added a crucial second before half-time.
It put the hosts firmly in the driving seat for a place at Wembley and late goals from Wilfried Zaha and Will Hughes booked their spot in the last four with a comprehensive victory.
"Anything is possible," five-time FA Cup winner Vieira insisted.
"When you get to that level, anything can happen and that is the beauty of this game."
The line-up was due to be completed after Liverpool's clash with Forest at the City Ground on Sunday evening.
The semi-finals will be played on the weekend of April 16-17.
