Everton news: Manager Frank Lampard provides Dominic Calvert-Lewin update ahead of Arsenal test

Everton boss Frank Lampard revealed that Dominic Calvert-Lewin will return to training as the Toffees prepare up for a trip to Arsenal.

While Everton remain winless in the Premier League after the opening six games, Lampard's men put on an impressive showing in their 0-0 draw with Liverpool at the weekend.

With four points to their name, the Toffees find themselves 16th in the standings. Lampard now hopes that Calvert-Lewin's return will add some much needed firepower to Everton's forward line.
The Everton boss hasn't revealed whether the England international will be ready for the trip to Emirates, though he is looking forward to his potential impact.

Speaking after Saturday's goalless Merseyside derby, Lampard said: "Dominic will be training next week, we hope. At that point we'll have good options.

"Dominic is a big player for us. I haven't experienced him as much I would want but I experienced one of the best days of my life when he headed in that ball last year.
"We understand what he can bring to the team. Hopefully we can get him fit and firing and then our options look stronger, naturally, because he's an England striker."
Calvert-Lewin is yet to feature this season, though Lampard caught a glimpse of his qualities towards the end of the previous campaign as the England forward scored two goals and produced one assist in the final three matches.
