Wout Weghorst has completed a permanent transfer to Burnley

Newcastle eye up a trio of signings, Burnley have found their Chris Wood replacement and Christian Eriksen settles in at Brentford.

We're coming up to midday on transfer deadline day and already there's plenty of action in the market.
Perhaps the most unsurprising news is that Newcastle are still out and about splashing their cash, with deals reportedly agreed for two new stars.
As the drama continues to unfold, Planet Sport bring you a lunchtime round-up of all the major deals so far.

    Eriksen signs for Brentford

Just seven months after his cardiac arrest at Euro 2020, Christian Eriksen is returning to football, with Brentford his new home.

    Burnley replace Wood with Weghorst

This is a big signing. No, we mean it. He's 6"6.

Burnley have signed Dutch striker Wout Weghorst, and announced him in a fitting fashion.

    Newcastle close to Targett

With Kieran Trippier, Chris Wood and now Bruno Guimaraes already across the line, the next on Eddie Howe's lengthy shopping list seems to be Matt Targett.
It's not over the line just yet, but with a fee agreed and a medical scheduled, expect it imminently.

Magpies win the race for Ekitike

Newcastle are also close to completing a £33million deal for Stade Reims' Hugo Ekitike. Never heard of him? Well, his name reads the same backwards as it does forwards so that's enough for me.

Donny van de Beek expected at Everton

Donny van de Beek's Manchester United nightmare may soon be over. Or at least for the six months he's expected to be loaned out for that is.

He could even be joined there by Frank Lampard. Although he may only be there for six months too...

    Ramsey set for Scotland?

Reports suggest that former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey could be set for a stint in Scotland.
Juventus have reportedly agreed a loan deal with the Glasgow side. Has anyone asked Ramsey what he thinks about all this?

    Todd Cantwell on the move

Todd Cantwell - remember him? Norwich's forgotten man seems ready to move on this January, with reports suggesting he's on his way to Bournemouth.
