We're coming up to midday on transfer deadline day and already there's plenty of action in the market.

Perhaps the most unsurprising news is that Newcastle are still out and about splashing their cash, with deals reportedly agreed for two new stars.

Eriksen signs for Brentford

Burnley replace Wood with Weghorst

This is a big signing. No, we mean it. He's 6"6.

Newcastle close to Targett

With Kieran Trippier, Chris Wood and now Bruno Guimaraes already across the line, the next on Eddie Howe's lengthy shopping list seems to be Matt Targett.

It's not over the line just yet, but with a fee agreed and a medical scheduled, expect it imminently.

Magpies win the race for Ekitike

Newcastle are also close to completing a £33million deal for Stade Reims' Hugo Ekitike. Never heard of him? Well, his name reads the same backwards as it does forwards so that's enough for me.

Donny van de Beek expected at Everton

Donny van de Beek's Manchester United nightmare may soon be over. Or at least for the six months he's expected to be loaned out for that is.

He could even be joined there by Frank Lampard. Although he may only be there for six months too...

Reports suggest that former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey could be set for a stint in Scotland.
