Chelsea to begin bidding war for 'top target' Erling Haaland this summer

Haaland bagged 41 goals in as many appearances last season and is the most in-demand striker in Europe.

Chelsea are set to step-up their interest in Erling Haaland as they look to secure their top target this summer.
The Borussia Dortmund star is available next summer for just £75million, but it is understood that Chelsea - who are determined to bring in a big-name striker this summer - are ready to bid big for the Norwegian striker.
20-year-old Haaland represents one of the world's top young players, hence Chelsea's willingness to smash the British record.

Dortmund have previously insisted that Haaland was not for sale, but Chelsea believe their offer will be too much to turn down.

Should Dortmund be willing to sanction a sale of Haaland, then Bookmakers are in firm agreement that he will indeed end up at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are firm favourites at 7/4, which is nearly a 40% probability that they land him before this summer's transfer window closes.
We spoke to Betfair about the market around Haaland and their spokesperson, Sam Rosbottom told us: "With the new season on the way, teams are still looking to strengthen their squads and there is no bigger name in the transfer rumour mill then Erling Haaland.
"The Norwegian has been linked with a number of clubs but it looks as though he could be heading to the Premier League, with Chelsea the 7/4 favourite to sign him.
"Man City are on the hunt for a striker after Sergio Aguero departed, and Pep's side are currently second favourites at 3/1 to sign Haaland. Real Madrid are 5/1 and Barcelona are 8/1."
