Bundesliga news: Goalkeeper Yann Sommer in talks with Monchengladbach over new contract

Borussia Monchengladbach goalkeeper Yann Sommer has confirmed that his contract talks with the Bundesliga club will continue.
The 34-year-old Switzerland international has been with the Foals since 2014, when he signed from FC Basel where he came through the youth setup.
Sommer's current contract, signed in 2019, is due to expire at the end of the season, but he has already opened talks with the German outfit regarding a fresh deal.
"With regards to my contract situation and my future, there were already open conversations with the club before the World Cup.
"We will resume these in the coming days as agreed."
Sommer has made 10 Bundesliga appearances for Monchengladbach this campaign, and kept three clean sheets.
