Bayern Munich want to keep Jamal Musiala 'forever' at the Bundesliga club

Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer said the German Bundesliga champions are very keen to extend attacking-midfielder Jamal Musiala's contract.

The 19-year-old Musiala's deal expires in 2026 and he is seen as a key member of the Bayern squad for the future.
Musiala joined Bayern's youth set-up in 2019 from Chelsea Youth before being promoted to the first team in July 2020 where he has remained ever since.
In an interview with Abendzeitung, Hainer confirmed Bayern were looking to tie down German international Musiala to a long-term contract.
"[Bayern board member for sport] Hasan Salihamidzic has already said that there were talks even before the World Cup.
"Jamal was one of the bright spots in the German World Cup team, and their elimination was certainly not his fault.
"You've seen that even at his young age he can compete at the highest level at a World Cup and provide impetus - and he's just at the start of his career," Hainer said.
The Bayern president added that Musiala "wants to become the best player in the world" and the club would work with him to make his dream come true.
"He has a long-term contract with us, and we want him to stay with FC Bayern as long as possible - preferably forever," Hainer added.
