Barcelona's rising star Pau Cubarsi set to extend contract - report

Since his debut in January, Cubarsi has become an indispensable asset under the helm of coach Xavi Hernandez.

Reports from Mundo Deportivo reveal that Barcelona are on the cusp of securing Cubarsi's future with a lucrative long-term contract. 

The economic terms have reportedly been agreed upon, with negotiations now focusing on the contract duration.

While Barcelona aim for a six-year deal, Cubarsi prefers five, yet this discrepancy isn't expected to hinder the agreement. Drawing inspiration from the Lamine Yamal model, Barcelona plan to adjust the contract to reflect Cubarsi's evolving role within the squad.

The impending contract extension, likely until 2030, underscores Barcelona's commitment to nurturing young talent.
