Barcelona youngster Pau Cubarsi made headlines in Spanish football as he earned his maiden appearance for the senior national team against Colombia at London Stadium.

Despite Spain's 0-1 loss on Friday, Cubarsi's debut at just 17 years and two months old marked him as the youngest-ever player to don La Roja's jersey, surpassing the record held by Sergio Ramos.

The match saw Colombia clinch victory with Daniel Munoz's goal.

Cubarsi's substitution in the final minutes, replacing Aymeric Laporte, highlighted the beginning of what promises to be a remarkable international career, cementing his place in Spanish football history.
