Striker sent off for two yellow cards within seconds of each other in 1-0 win at Wolves.

Mikel Arteta says he will demand an explanation from officials after seeing Gabriel Martinelli sent off in Arsenal's win over Wolves.

The Gunners came out on top after a Gabriel Magalhaes poked home the only goal of the game at Molineux, but that was not the major talking point.

Martinelli received two yellow cards within seconds of each other to be dismissed in the second half after referee Michael Oliver had played advantage following his first offence.

It was the 15th time an Arsenal player has seen red since Arteta took charge on 2019 and the fifth one this season alone.
Arsenal managed to hold on for a 1-0 win, but Arteta was still very unhappy afterwards and he wanted answers.
"It's worrying," Arteta admitted about the number of dismissals Arsenal have received under him.
"The red card changed things. The red card was one you have to want to give.
"You ask me if I'm happy with the decisions we've had this season and that's a conversation I will have with officials privately.
"I want explanations about VAR and what happened tonight. They are conversations that are going to happen very soon.
"Everyone says it is the most disciplined group they have seen in the last 10 to 15 years, but we are still getting red cards.
"I've never seen that (Martinelli's red). I've been 18 years in this country and I've never seen something like it.
"I'm really happy with the result obviously. It was a massive result for us away at a good team that makes barely [any] errors and concedes very little.
"I keep telling you guys how close they are, how willing they are to defend their shirt."
The victory pushed Arsenal up into fifth place in the Premier League, just a point behind West Ham with two games in hand.
