Watch: No love lost between Antonio Rudiger and Ronald Araujo after El Clasico friendly spat

Real Madrid's new defender Antonio Rudiger is already building a rivalry with Barcelona's Ronald Araujo after the pair clashed in the 'friendly' El Clasico in Las Vegas.

The former Chelsea defender discovered that things might not be so easy in La Liga against players like Barcelona defender Araujo, who refused to be bullied by the German international throughout the game.

Both sets of players clashed off the ball just before the end of the first half, with Rudgier and Araujo locking themselves together in an intense stand-off that was eventually broken up by teammates.

Ten minutes before the incident Rudiger had been given a chastening welcome to his potential life in the Spanish top flight after Araujo ran the length of the field to storm his way past the German international, who could only manage to bundle him over as he fired in a disappointing cross.

Barcelona's new signing Raphinha scored the only goal of the game in the 27th minute of the Soccer Champions Tour friendly, after latching on to an Eder Militao error to fire home from the edge of the area.

Barca's other summer signings Robert Lewandowski and Andreas Christensen made their first appearances for the club in front of 61,299 fans at the Allegiant Stadium.

Real goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois made a string of late saves to stop the game from turning into a thumping, while Marco Asensio missed Real Madrid's best chance.

Watch Araujo give Rudiger the run around:

Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez said: "The first half was brilliant, but the second half was complicated.
"We came here to win and we did it. We suffered towards the end of the game but I am still satisfied with today's match.
"We were the better team. At Barcelona, there are no friendly matches… We always want to win, especially against Real Madrid."
"It was a good match with a lot of intensity, especially in the first half. I thought it was an even game," Real Madrid manager Ancelotti said after the defeat.
