Mario Gotze returns for Germany as coach Hansi Flick announces 2022 Fifa World Cup squad

Germany coach Hansi Flick has announced his 26-man squad for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.

Missing through injuries are Marco Reus, Timo Werner and Lukas Nmecha, while Borussia Dortmund's Youssoufa Moukoko and Werder Bremen forward Niclas Füllkrug receive first call-ups.
Making a return to the squad for the first time since 2017 is Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Mario Götze, but Mats Hummels and Robin Gosens have been left out.
