Wolverhampton each-way racing tip (2000): Savannah Smiles can defy outsider odds after quick turnaround

There’s plenty in with a shout of landing this competitive sprint, but Tipstrr’s each-way specialists have their collective eye for value on the bottom-weighted outsider.

Doves Of Peace and Miss Moonshine head the betting, with the latter looking the better equipped of the two to land the odds after a tidy win under the same claiming jockey at Lingfield a week ago.

If she looks the one to beat, then the short prices of the two market leaders has added extra each-way value to their ten rivals, and with four places widely available, the likes of the Cam Hardie-ridden Jumira Bridge and the Paul Midgley-trained Mrs Trump certainly merit consideration for a frame finish.

However, there’s a leaning in the Tipstrr camp towards one of the real outsiders, with the Grace Harris-trained Savannah Smiles expected to punch above her bottom weight.

It’s been half a dozen outings since this four-year-old filly enjoyed her only taste of victory, when edging a 12-runner affair in similar graded company over the same distance on Lingfield’s all-weather track in June.

While not able to replicate that performance through the rest of her summer campaign, a three-month break appeared to do her the world of good when she returned to finish a close-up third of 11 at Lingfield just three days ago.

This quick turnaround could work two ways, of course, but connections must feel she has it in her legs to build on that performance, when she was arguably held up too long before keeping on strongly to finish never nearer than at the line.

Callum Hutchinson retains the ride and reduces Savannah Smiles' burden further with a three-pound allowance, so everything is in place for him to bring the best out of his charge this time around, albeit having to overcome a less favourable outside stall.
