Wolverhampton each-way tip: Glory Sky hotly tipped for more all-weather success

Our partners at Tipstrr have shared their data with us for this 7-furlong sprint, and within their camp of racing experts has been a huge surge of support for one lightly-raced filly in particular.

19:00 Wolverhampton: Joe Conboy Memorial Fillies’ Handicap (7 furlongs 36 yards)

In what appears to be a wide-open handicap, there is no clear favourite, with Song Of Success, Sail On Silverbird and Regal Fanfare all jostling for position at the top of the market at around the 4/1 mark.

Those top-heavy odds have left Tipstrr’s each-way specialists scouring the betting for more appetising value elsewhere, and there’s been a smattering of support for bottom-weighted Aviary, who has won over this course and distance before and could go well again under Georgia Dobie’s three-pound claim.

However, by far and away the most popular pick is Richard Hannon’s unexposed filly Glory Sky, whose limited appearances have shown plenty of scope for improvement, as well as landing her maiden win at the third attempt at Kempton in May.

That has been her only experience of all-weather surfaces before this re-introduction, and it was a victory achieved in convincing fashion, as she eased two lengths clear of the runner-up and with the other ten runners strung well out behind.

Her last outing six weeks ago was a relatively disappointing reality check, but can be excused as a pipe-opener after a three-month lay-off, with this first taste of a tapeta surface more likely to bring out her potential than Haydock’s turf that day.

Suggested bet: Glory Sky each-way in the 19:00 at Wolverhampton

She is eased two pounds on that showing, and that drop is enhanced further by the seven-pound allowance of promising claimer Joe Leavy, who has been making the most of his limited bookings to pilot two of his last ten rides into the winners’ enclosure.

The in-form Hannon yard enjoyed two winners at Newbury on Friday to reach a century of victories for the season, and they rarely leave the Wolverhampton track empty-handed.
