Wolverhampton afternoon racing tips: Best bets for Tuesday, January 16

Wolverhampton doesn't just do floodlit evening meetings, it can serve up afternoon fare too and Tuesday, January 16 is one of those days. Eyes down for some big winners.

13:25 (Wolverhampton) Beauzon
Beauzon completed a double winning by half a length over six furlongs at this circuit.
Looks capable of continuing his winning streak and landing a hat-trick all in the first three weeks of the year.
All In The Hips delivered a third tackling six furlongs at this track on her penultimate start and has strong claims, dropping back in class after a tenth of 11 last week.
Eldeyaar won twice on turf last September. Rates a threat if sharp delivering first start since an eleventh attempting six furlongs at Newcastle during November.
Diamondsinthesand is another to consider following a fifth contesting a seven furlong event at Southwell ten days ago.
14:30 (Wolverhampton) Pagliacci
Pagliacci showed improved form when second in a seven furlong novice race at Chelmsford and is taken to break his maiden at the third attempt.
Jaunty Dancer showed ability finishing fourth in a 1m maiden contest at Kempton on debut and a bold show is expected.
Cassanos Lad enters calculations following a fifth attempting a seven furlong novice event at Southwell.
Bas Bleu debuted with a fourth in a 1m novice race at Lingfield. Holds claims despite disappointing at Kempton subsequently.
15:05 (Wolverhampton) Cobh Harbour
Cobh Harbour is rated the best bet at Wolverhampton in the BetMGM: It’s Showtime Handicap.
The Tasleet gelding has been placed in each of his three starts in novice events, most recently showing a step up from five to seven furlongs holds no fears when filling the runner-up spot over this course and distance late last month.
He is less exposed than most ahead of his first foray in handicap company and an opening perch of 65 looks workable.
16:10 (Wolverhampton) Calcutta Dream
Calcutta Dream won by a neck racing at Chelmsford last week and is selected to record his fifth career win.
Optik appeared to appreciate a change of tactics when successful by a length and half tackling a handicap at this track three days ago. Rates a major threat.
Aeroplane Mode and Storm Valley both warrant close consideration.
