Windsor best bet: Rebel Angel strongly fancied to make the frame at tasty odds

It’s Monday so it must be Windsor, and the very last race of the Berkshire track’s weekly evening meeting has caused a flurry of activity among Tipstrr’s each-way specialists.

20:40 Windsor: Amdocs Amazing Handicap  (1 mile 3½ furlongs)

Jostling for the favourite mantle are Naasma and D Day Arvalenreeva, and latter in particular looks likely to be a big player under William Buick after coming just a short head shy of landing his season debut at Leicester a month ago.

Elsewhere, course-distance winner Mrembo looks very well treated at the bottom of the weights, especially with Olivia Tubb’s seven-pound claim helping further, but the horse causing a major buzz in the Tipstrr camp is the David Pipe-trained Rebel Angel.

This well-raced filly enjoyed a productive three–year-old campaign in France in 2023, winning six of 11 outings over various distances, but has enjoyed mixed fortunes since her autumn move across the Channel.

Suggested best bet: Rebel Angel each-way in the 20:40 at Windsor

It took a few modest attempts over hurdles before new trainer David Pipe put he back on more familiar flat turf at Chepstow 10 days ago, when she looked much more at home in coming third of nine in a competitively-run handicap.

She seemed to respond well to a first-time visor there, and if that continues to produce a positive effect, then she could well go equally well again here under retained jockey Ethan Jones, who receives an additional four pounds allowance here, on top of the pound that the handicapper has already given back to Rebel Angel.
