Southwell racing tip (1830): Best bet appears to be Absolutelyflawless

Southwell racecourse
There’s plenty of likely contenders for this competitive six-furlong sprint, but one in particular has given Tipstrr racing pundit Steve Jones cause to pick it out his best-bet Daily Bargain.
18:30 Southwell: Always Gamble Responsibly With BetUK Handicap (6 furlongs)
Three-year-old filly Absolutelyflawless faces easier opposition than in any handicap during her career to date, and the latest of her three wins in a 0-74 handicap came over this distance at Wolverhampton in mid- May.
She won that 10-runner affair under today’s rider Daniel Muscutt off a five-pound higher mark than here, so clearly a similar performance will make her hard to beat in this lesser 0-70 event.
Since returning from her last break in late October, her four runs have all been over that same course and distance and, after missing the places by less than a length in a 0-75 on the first occasion, she has seemingly disappointed on three further occasions.
Only one of those last four runs was under Muscutt and on that occasion the filly was never nearer than at the line (only 1.25 lengths off the places) in 0-75 company when racing off 71 (two pounds higher than today).
She has a better draw this time, is facing significantly weaker opposition, and she is two pounds better off, so she must be of major interest on a track where she won on her only previous run on this surface (her all-weather debut last season).
If anything, the longer run-in at this track will suit her better than Wolverhampton, where she has been never-nearer than at the finish on a couple of occasions. She is handicapped to strike, and this appears to be her easiest task in an all-weather handicap.
Suggested bet: Absolutely Flawless in the 18:30 at Southwell

Of the others, top weight Snash can be excused his latest run, when well fancied in a Class 4 at Newcastle, because he raced well away from the main action.
He is better judged on his previous run, when he won a 12-runner 0-70 handicap over six furlongs at the same course, a win that took his all-weather record to 1101 (only defeat came in Class 4) and he could easily bounce back again today.
Next best bet: Snash in the 18:30 at Southwell
