17:15 (Southwell) So Obsessed

So Obsessed found success by four lengths in this handicap grade tackling the trip at Chelmsford and is improving, so is worth considering.

Cloud King was last seen finishing eighth contesting a six furlong novice event at Yarmouth during September. Form of that race has worked out. Likely to take a step forward on return and may go close.

Smooth Silesie scored narrowly among this handicap company over five furlongs at Lingfield three outings back. Good efforts since and holds every chance.

18:15 (Southwell) Asinara

Asinara’s 1000 Guineas entry appears to be flying a bit high at present, but a win in the BetMGM: It’s Showtime Restricted Maiden Stakes might see her 100/1 odds clipped a little.

Trained by Charlie Hills, this daughter of Harry Angel hails from a fair family and made a decent start when just touched off on her racecourse bow.

She looked pretty green on debut but stayed on well to be beaten just a short head over the same seven-furlong distance she faces here and that experience should stand her in good stead.

19:15 (Southwell) Better

Better should appreciate a return to six furlongs in the Best Racing Odds Guaranteed At BetMGM Handicap.

After showing little in three runs, George Boughey’s charge ran out an impressive three-length winner in December, with his trainer pointing to the six-furlong trip as a key factor in his improved showing.

Hiked 11lb for the win, Better than returned over five furlongs at Newcastle last month where he had to settle for fourth, beaten a length and a half after just lacking an extra bit of toe in the closing stages.

20:15 (Southwell) Copper Mountain

Copper Mountain won at this venue attempting the standard during January five starts ago.

Ran with credit on Friday at Newcastle finishing fifth in this grade over seven furlongs and rates highly.

Hawajes showed ability here when a close third attempting seven furlongs at this level and has a big chance.

Kodebreaker went well at the venue two weeks back when third tackling one mile and will be in the mix.
