17:30 (Southwell) Corrales

Corrales is the pick in the Bet £10 Get £40 At BetMGM Restricted Maiden Stakes after a promising debut effort.

A full-brother to Listed winners Mountain Angel and Fanciful Angel, Corrales is certainly bred to be smart and he made a decent start when fourth at Kempton last month.

He ducked across the track at the start that day which hardly helped his chances, before having to be switched late on to mount his challenge.

Beaten just four lengths in fourth, Corrales should be wiser for the experience and ready to make his mark.

 

18:00 (Southwell) Flag Carrier

Flag Carrier can make a winning start for his new trainer Brian Toomey in the Boost Your Acca At BetMGM Handicap.

Previously trained by Harry Eustace, the three-year-old had certainly shown ability before eventually managing to make the leap to victory last time out.

Placed three times at six and seven furlongs, a return to the longer trip worked the oracle at Kempton in January when triumphing by a length, despite not looking totally straightforward in the preliminaries and racing pretty keenly.

Raised 3lb for that victory, Flag Carrier could still have more improvement to come.

 

19:00 (Southwell) Urban Dandy

Urban Dandy posted a fine effort when denied a nose here on first outing over seven furlongs recently. Can make amends racing off an unchanged mark.

Kempton winner Warrior Square revisits handicap company off a 6.6lb higher mark though remains unexposed in the visor.

Another who could give a good account is Meng Tian having finished runner-up tackling one mile at Chelmsford when last seen four-and-a-half months ago.

Fieldsman may feature if putting a below-par effort behind him.

 

20:00 (Southwell) Admirable Lad

Admirable Lad scored over this distance at Chelmsford last time. A six-time winner he maintained good form throughout winter and can be rewarded for consistency with another classified success.

Higher Law produced some solid placed efforts among handicap company in recent months. Warrants respect at this level despite remaining a longstanding maiden.

First-time visor could spark a revival from Liv Lucky while Bama Lama holds form to feature in this grade.
