Southwell each-way racing tip: Fristel poised to defy outsider odds

The very last race of the night has brought Tipstrr’s each-way specialists out in force as they gravitate towards an outsider that they feel has been overlooked in the market.

Indeed, if the bookies have done their homework correctly, then we should be in for something of a three-horse race, with early favourite Vitalline in particular fancied to build on a promising third-place finish at Kempton last month.
Voltaic and Churchill Bay are also expected to give a good account of themselves, but with no wins between them from a combined 18 outings over the last four months, their value might be overrated at their current prices.
If that opens the door for more attractive each-way options elsewhere, then the likes of Inclement Weather and Tommytwohoots should be ready to jump through it, as indeed should the Mark Loughnane-trained four-year-old Fristel.
Although still a maiden after 21 attempts, Fristel has shown some progress through a few near misses, and after two promising frame finishes either side of a 138-day lay-off, he was unable to make the best of a poor outside draw last time out at Wolverhampton a month ago.
Billy Loughnane was on board that day, but in this amateur jockeys’ affair, Ella Fryer’s seven-pound claim should help level the playing field a little, while their more favourable inside draw should boost prospects further.
The Loughnane yard landed two winners last weekend, both ridden by Billy, so Fristel should turning up in decent shape and could well bounce back strongly enough to justify a cautious each-way play here.
