Southwell racing tips: Best bets for Sunday, April 28

14:10 (Southwell) Robusto 

Robusto showed plenty of ability attempting a course and distance handicap finishing 2L second among this company. Leading player.

Royal Deeside went well at the start of this month running a good third in a 2m handicap hurdle at Ludlow. Respect revisiting the flat.

Percy Willis is another who brings solid form including a neck second contesting a 1m3f handicap here. Back up in journey and holds claims.

 

14:40 (Southwell) Giudecca

Giudecca represents leading connections. Promising filly having recorded a first win at the third attempt scoring by 2.75L a 7f maiden at Newcastle AW last September. Leading contender set to confirm promise.

Battle Queen placed on all three outings to date including a head second tackling a 1m maiden at Lingfield AW. Include.

Completed did well here when 0.5L second over 1m (handicap). Makes for appeal.

 

15:10 (Southwell) Sardinian Warrior

Sardinian Warrior showed plenty of promise on debut during December finishing 3L second in a 1m novice event at Kempton AW. Represents top yard holding G1 entries later this year. Rates highly.

Modern Times did well second up last November finishing 1L second contesting a 1m maiden at Kempton AW. Open to plenty of improvement. Could go close.

Smart Hero makes for appeal following a promising debut neck second over 7f at the same venue eleven days ago. Holds claims.

 

15:40 (Southwell) Prydwen

Prydwen scored by 3.5L to be the AW marathon champion at Newcastle AW tackling this trip and handicap grade. Enjoys AW and rates a leading contender.

Pledgeofallegiance found success on final outing last year running 2L clear at Ripon attempting a lower level 2m handicap. Rates highly.

Tenerife Sunshine brings good form including a decent fourth at Lingfield AW. In the mix.

 

16:15 (Southwell) Elmonjed

Elmonjed arrives unbeaten with a debut success in a 6f maiden at Lingfield preceding a neck victory contesting a 6f novice contest at Haydock during September. Hard to beat on return tackling a first handicap.25l second attempting a 6f novice event at kempton aw. Rates well.

She’s A Gambler is another who is unbeaten following two wins last year including a narrow novice success at Thirsk over 6f last July. Makes for appeal.

 

16:50 (Southwell) Billboa

Billboa bids for a hat-trick following a head victory attempting a 5f handicap at Dundalk AW (Ireland). Leading player.

Al Barez found success by a neck tackling a lower level 6f handicap at Kempton AW the start of this month. Big chance.

Intervention went well at the same venue three weeks ago among this handicap company finishing 2.75L second over 6f. Every chance.

 

17:25 (Southwell) Eldrickjones

Eldrickjones won by 2.25L attempting this handicap grade at Newcastle AW over 1m before a fair fifth at the same venue two weeks later last November. Serious player.

Woodstock scored by 1L at Wolverhampton AW tackling a 7f handicap. Could go well again.

How Impressive showed ability here when a solid third among this company over 7f. Makes for appeal.

 

17:55 (Southwell) One More Dream

One More Dream scored here by 1.75L a 6f handicap in this grade. Enjoys the venue and rates highly set to follow up.

New Image has been running well with a nice 2.25L victory returning from an absence here attempting a 5f maiden last month before a good third over 6f at Wolverhampton AW. Could play a major role.
