18:55 (Ripon) Golden Strike

Golden Strike can pick up where he left off last term in the Yorkshire Accountants Ripon Novice Stakes for Richard Fahey.

Third to a big-money buy on his initial run at Pontefract, Golden Strike did not help himself that day by starting slowly and swerving in the initial strides, running very green in the finish too to be beaten a length and a quarter.

He righted the record the next time at Ayr and he might not need to improve too much to take this heat.

19:55 (Ripon) International Girl

International Girl can complete a Ripon double for Fahey in the weatherbysshop.co.uk Handicap.

She proved pretty consistent through the 2023 campaign, placing on four occasions with only one really lacklustre effort on her record over six races.

The six-year-old posted a fair performance on her return at this track last month, when being drawn in stall one of seven runners certainly did not play in her favour.

Beaten just over three lengths, International Girl’s form can be upgraded, with a 1lb drop and a higher draw this time adding further confidence.

20:25 (Ripon) Herakles

Trainer Paul Midgley has his sprinters in good order and Herakles was a decent third tackling five furlongs at Beverley last time. Looks poised to strike off this mark.

The market could reveal more about the Patrick Morris-trained pair Brian The Snail and Street Life.

Both command respect on their respective reappearances where the former was last seen winning over five and a half furlongs at Bath in September and holds form to play a major role, while the latter finished runner-up in a classified event at Chelmsford during March.

21:00 (Ripon) Georgie Wooster

The Tim Easterby-trained Georgie Wooster stayed on well to make a successful handicap debut over seven furlongs at Redcar.

There could be more to come now stepping back up to one mile with a 7lb rise in weights likely not enough to prevent the follow-up in the Ripon Theatre Festival 2nd-7th July Handicap.

Havana Prince scored over course and distance last time out. Might remain competitive off this revised mark.

Angel Of The Bay needs to be included after a good second attempting seven furlongs at Redcar, while Curious Mrs Fox finished runner-up in the previously mentioned course handicap and cannot be discounted.
