Plumpton each-way racing tip: Five-time course-distance winner I See You Well has sights on victory

Plumpton racecourse
Where better to spend a chilly December Monday afternoon than at Plumpton races, where Tipstrr pundit Steve Jones has his discerning eye for value on a five-time course-and-distance winner.
14:10 Plumpton: GE White & SonsAgricultural Buildings Handicap Chase (3 miles 1 furlong 152 yards)
There is little doubt that I See You Well will have been trained with this race in mind because he has won two of the last four renewals and he didn’t contest the other two.
The 10-year-old is a real course specialist who has won here five times over this distance - indeed his career figures over this trip are 111112, with his only setback coming in a higher-graded Class 3 contest just last month, when beaten by the progressive Blade Runner, who himself boasts figures of 11211 over these fences.
Back down in grade today, I See You Well runs off the same mark again, and his last three wins all came off similar marks between 123-126 and were all in Class 3 outings.
The latest of them was in this month last year, the third time he had won in the month of December, so he often hits winning form at this stage of the season.
Micheal Nolan has ridden him to two of his last three wins, including over this trip, and the 10-year-old should find this drying ground ideal.
Competing off his lowest mark since he won this race by five lengths in 2021, I See You Well is unbeaten in four Class 4 handicaps around this circuit and, now that his mark is low enough for him to contest another one (he scrapes in on the ceiling mark), he looks in the sort of form to take advantage.
Suggested bet: I See You Well each-way in the 14:10 at Plumpton

Of the others, the bottom weight, Guguss Collonges arrives in winning form and only one rival has managed to beat him (and only narrowly at that) from the 27 he has faced in his last three runs.
He is well equipped to handle Plumpton’s unique challenges, and indeed, his chasing figures here are 1233 and those runs were all over much shorter trips, so he has plenty going for him here as a still unexposed staying chaser.
Next best bet: Guguss Collonges in the 14:10 at Plumpton
