Newcastle top racing tip (2030): Best each-way value appears to be Inexplicable

Our friends at Tipstrr have crunched their numbers for Newcastle’s last race of the night, and their each-way specialists are all over this seven-furlong sprint in their search for overpriced value.

20:30 Newcastle: BetMGM: It’s Showtime Handicap (7 furlongs 14 yards)

With only four of the 12 starters currently commanding a single-digit price, the bookies have this down as a four-horse race, with Marcello Si catching the eye as one of only two course-distance winners, the most recent of which came here last time out 26 days ago.

He held off the opposing Shine’s Ambition by half a length that day, and while the latter has subsequently disappointed over a shorter trip here, it’s hard to fathom why they are so far apart in the betting here, especially with Shine’s Ambition now two pounds better off.

Sparkling Spirit, Strictly Dreaming and Drakeholes make up the market principals, but it's easy to see one or more of those faltering in a race like this, which opens the door for seemingly overpriced each-way value elsewhere, especially with four places widely available.

Planet Sport Bet Daily Special: Bet £20+ cash on any runner in the race and if Strictly Dream wins by more than 1 length, get a £5 Free Bet

We already touched on Shine’s Ambition, and Written Broadcast is another who could also outrun his price under Brandon Wilkie’s five-pound claim, while the most popular pick in the Tipstrr camp is Anthony Brittain’s seven-year-old Inexplicable.

No stranger to the winner’s enclosure, Inexplicable has nine career wins under his belt, the most recent of which came over an extended mile at Wolverhampton in mid-January.

He has been far from idle since, making the frame in three quickfire appearances, including a close-up runner-up spot behind Charlatan in a classified race, again at Wolverhampton 10 days ago.

Cam Hardie was on board that night and he returns to the saddle with high hopes of going one better over a shorter trip here, although a frame finish might be a more realistic outcome, but at a profitable each-way price.

Suggested best bet: Inexplicable in the 20:30 at Newcastle
