Newcastle each-way tip: Conditions look tailor-made for Eleven Eleven

The Bell Conductor ridden by Paul Mulrennan at Newcastle Racecourse
The last race at Newcastle’s evening meeting offers a competitive one-mile handicap, from which Tipstrr racing aficionado Steve Jones has provided his solitary best bet Daily Bargain.
20:30 Newcastle: QuinnBet Quarterback Handicap (1 mile)
With question marks against the market leaders, potential value elsewhere very much brings in Jessica Macey’s dual course-distance winner, Eleven Eleven, who is extremely well-handicapped and who represents a yard that is in great form (three winners and a second from the last five runners).
Both his career wins have been achieved over this very trip and his figures from six previous visits to this venue (five of which were over this distance) are 124127.

Perhaps the best of his runs at this venue was in March when he finished a close-up second of 10 in what was a much stronger (0-66) handicap than this one, in which six of the first seven home were rated 60-66 compared to only one of today’s rivals being rated above 59.
He ran off a mark of 63 on that occasion, so a similar effort in this much weaker event off his current mark of just 56 will make him hard to beat.
A big factor in his favour today is the presence in the field of Antagonize, very often a free-going front-runner, who is drawn right next door to Eleven Eleven.
The latter will enjoy getting a nice tow through the race courtesy of that rival and that should mean he is much less keen, thus saving plenty for the uphill climb to the line.
Suggested bet: Eleven Eleven each-way in the 20:30 at Newcastle

Of the others, Northbound should go very well if he stays the mile distance over which he is still unexposed, with two seven-furlong tapeta wins to his name, including one at this venue.
His latest win over this surface and distance was at Southwell in April in a higher-graded Class 5 event and he runs off exactly the same mark again today, with Ryan Sexton’s claim effectively making him three pounds lower in a much weaker race.
The last time he ran over a mile, he ran too keenly, so if the new hood does its job, he will be a big player from a potentially favourable near-side draw.
Next best bet: Northbound each-way in the 20:30 at Newcastle
