14:20 (Newbury) Anno Domini

This could be a two-year-old contest worth following in the future. There are some nice performers on show and none more so than Anno Domini who ticks plenty of boxes on pedigree alone and make a winning debut for trainer Charlie Appleby.

Richard Hannon-trained newcomer Invited commands respect representing top connections.

Berkshire Kameo looks to be the pick of those with experience after a pleasing debut third over six furlongs at Goodwood.

 

16:00 (Newbury) Clove Hitch

Clove Hitch should use previous track experience to her advantage in the Darley EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes over the straight mile.

The Andrew Balding filly has improved for each of her three career runs, which have included two at the Berkshire venue.

She finished fifth on her sole start as a juvenile, but impressed to finish two and a half lengths behind Economics, who subsequently won the Dante at York, when third on her reappearance in April.

Last time out at Windsor, the daughter of Siyouni was a close second behind the now 91-rated Cat Ninja to prove the three-year-old is trending in the right direction in her bid to shed her maiden tag.

 

16:30 (Newbury) Nibras Angel

Nibras Angel is an interesting option for Ismail Mohammed after slipping down the weights ahead of the Racehorse Shares From £25 At racingclub.com Handicap.

The four-year-old made her UK return at York in May, following a decent winter in the Middle East, but finished way down the field.

However, she needed that run and the drop down in grade is another positive for the daughter of Harry Angel.

 

17:05 (Newbury) Whenthedealinsdone

Whenthedealinsdone finished a close-up fourth behind Sixties Chic when the pair met at Windsor nineteen days ago.

Now 8lb better off at the weights and brings the benefit of winning form over course and distance while the latter-mentioned contender could give a good account off her revised mark.

Abbey Heights can remain competitive under the 5lb penalty he received for winning a six furlong Nottingham handicap earlier in the month.

Treacherous wasn't beaten far when fourth tackling five furlongs at Chepstow. May appreciate going back up in trip under Oisin Murphy.
