Unlike many others Stonking has plenty of outings in the tank, albeit on the all-weather tracks at Wolverhampton and Kempton before going over hurdles at Newbury, which resulted in a disappointing 10th place finish. 

Despite a poor few runs over the winter, he had a good win at Newbury in July, beating Daphne May by three-and-a-quarter lengths. 

Jockey Alistair Rawlinson is a solid booking, with 39% of his runs in 2024 resulting in top three finishes and he had a good win at Southwell last week aboard Winchurch.
