The Doyen Chief can get off the mark over timber in the Daily Charged Up Offers At Rhino.Bet Novices’ Hurdle at Market Rasen.

Bought for £110,000 after landing an Irish point-to-point, King’s charge had subsequent hurdle winners Soldierofthestorm and Lump Sum in behind when powering to victory in a Hereford bumper in April.

He made a promising debut over obstacles himself at Ludlow last month, only going down by a short head after a ding-dong battle with odds-on favourite Choccabloc, with the third some 20 lengths back.

The ground could be more testing on this occasion, but his point success came on soft going, so there are few fears on that score.

Diamond Twin was unlucky when hampered after the last here on his seasonal reappearance and can hopefully gain compensation in the Follow Us On Twitter @betrhino Handicap Hurdle.

Dan Skelton’s French import produced little in bumpers and novice events over timber but is on an attractive mark as a result and now looks ready to show his true worth.
