FIRST ENCORE (3) maintains a progressive profile producing a Kempton AW nursery third over 1m prior to a neck success in a Wolverhampton AW 7f maiden. Leading chance.
BULLDOG DRUMMOND (1) bids for a hat-trick with a 6f Newcastle AW nursery win preceding a 6f Kempton AW handicap 3.25L victory last week. Main danger.
GUNFIGHTER (2) scored by 0.75L attempting this journey at Wolverhampton AW. Makes for appeal. PETRA CELERA (6) posted some good efforts on the AW and rates next best.
13:30 (Lingfield) Alexandretta
ALEXANDRETTA (7) proved consistent placing in each of five career runs to date including last August at Ayr when third contesting a 6f maiden. Leading player on return.
SUGAR HILL (4) was a good third among maiden company at Newbury tackling 1m before a disappointing seventh at Chelmsford City AW last May. Open to progress after a break.
KING'S VANITY (2) finished a fair fifth in a Newcastle AW 1m novice event during November. Holds claims. DAYTONA BEACH (8) might feature.
14:00 (Lingfield) Aspire To Glory
ASPIRE TO GLORY (6) scored by 0.5L a 7f nursery at Kempton AW. Improving and rates highly on that form.
GONE LIKE THE WIND (7) was not disgraced at the same venue when sixth contesting a 1m handicap in this grade last week. May improve further.
BIRKIE BOY (8) won tackling this trip at Brighton during October before a Kempton AW third two outings back. Interesting. IMPELLING (1) looks one for the placings.
14:30 (Lingfield) Upepo
UPEPO (10) remains unbeaten at this course. Posted a second success here when a 2.5L winner of a 1m4f handicap last week. Leading contender.
HILL STATION (5) won nicely at Southwell AW attempting a lower graded 1m3f handicap before a Wolverhampton AW sixth. Makes for appeal.
CAPTAIN SQUARE (4) resumes after a long break. Did show ability both on the flat and then when hurdling including a 12L juvenile hurdle success at Market Rasen July 2022. Interesting.
NIGHT AT SEA (7) was one place in front of the second mentioned at Wolverhampton AW last week over 1m4f. Place hope.
15:00 (Lingfield) Habooba
HABOOBA (8) maintains strong AW form with a pair of Chelmsford City runner-up efforts prior to a 1.25L success in a lower graded 6f handicap here. Top selection.
ONE NIGHT STAND (3) returned to best in recent starts with a 5f handicap victory here preceding a neck second a week later at Wolverhampton AW. In the mix.
COUNT OTTO (1) showed plenty of ability on New Years Eve at this venue when a neck second among this handicap company tackling track and trip. Include. PRINCE OF ZENDA (2) could feature.
15:30 (Lingfield) Edmund Ironside
EDMUND IRONSIDE (1) went well here recently with a neck course and distance handicap success in this grade preceding a pair of runner-up efforts also here. Leading contender.
ADVANTAGE (2) won by 1.75L among this handicap company at Wolverhampton AW before a fair fifth there subsequently. Could go close.
SO CHIC (4) scored by a head tackling this track and handicap grade over 7f in November. Makes for appeal. BLUE COLLAR LAD (10) brings good placed form and holds claims.
16:00 (Lingfield) Hold The Press
HOLD THE PRESS (2) showed plenty of ability here in November when 1.25L second contesting a course and distance handicap. Continues in that grade. Serious player.
AL TARMAAH (4) filled the same position at Chelmsford City AW tackling a 1m handicap beaten only a neck. Could go close if replicating that form.
ESSME (5) ran well at Kempton AW on Wednesday when third attempting this journey. In the mix. MY SAND BOY (8) might feature following a decent Chelmsford City AW handicap fourth during October.
