Kempton racing tip: Zero Carbon to sprint to victory

Kempton has more all-weather action on Wednesday evening and the Tipstrr pundits are showing plenty of interest in this competitive handicap.

20:00 Kempton: 'Neal Hough Scream For Speed' Handicap (7 furlongs)

This sprint to the finish sees 10 coming to post and plenty of them are viable contenders.

The current favourite is Richard Spencer's Giant and he has the ever-dependable Oisin Murphy aboard.

Murphy's excellent strike rate, 23 percent for 2024, paired with the gelding's excellent form, five top three finishes in his last six outings including a course-distance win, makes them a formidable pair and will should at least make the frame.

Another contender who has gained plenty of support in the market is Tom Clover's Rajindri.

She has only failed to make the frame once in her Rules career so far and is a course-distance winner, having won here in August.

The filly's last outing saw her finish second at Yarmouth, just half a length behind the winner Shin Jidai.

Kieran Shoemark is a solid booking but the Tipstrr camp think there are better contenders.

Planet Sport Bet offer: Bet minimum £20+ cash on any runner in the race and if Giant wins by over 1.5 lengths, win a £5 free bet

If you're looking for each-way value then Akkadian Thunder stands a chance, with the gelding fresh off a win over this distance on the all-weather at Newcastle.

However, our friends at Tipstrr are backing Zero Carbon, who is our selection for this competitive handicap.

Richard Hughes' charge had a bit of a horror show when finishing at the back of a 21-strong field at Ascot, but prior to that he was in fine form.

He is a course-distance specialist, having picked up three wins in five outings here, with the other two being second and fourth, so he is almost guarenteed to be in the mix at Kempton.

Hughes' yard have also been in stunning form since the turn of the year, having won 24 percent of their races and over half of his runners have found the top three.

Speaking of good form, jockey Finley Marsh has had a knack of finding the winner's enclosure, he boasts a 15 percent strike rate in 2024 and looks like a good booking.

Despite the plethora of talent on display elsewhere, we think Zero Carbon will grab a fourth Kempton win here.

Suggested best bet: Zero Carbon in the 20:00 at Kempton
