16:55 (Kempton) Soldier's Class

Soldier's Class delivered an eye-catching fourth of ten effort producing initial racecourse outing.

With Aljezur now a non runner, the three-year-old will provide the main threat in the Unibet Zero% Mission Restricted Maiden Stakes.

Roberto Caro has not been seen since finishing fourth of eleven on Windsor debut last August. Subsequently gelded and a big run is anticipated when resuming.

Beau Gras can be feared tackling this reduced trip.

18:30 (Kempton) Alhather

Alhather can make it third time lucky in the Unibet/Breeders Backing Racing EBF Maiden Stakes.

A 160,000 guineas purchase as a yearling, he came up against a more experienced rival on debut and had to give best after racing to the fore throughout.

He was again prominent on his second start and dropped away in the dying strides to come home third, which was still a fair level of form given the second has come out and won subsequently.

19:30 (Kempton) Metaverse

Metaverse himself is in action in the Unibet More Boosts In More Races Handicap – switching back to six furlongs this time.

He posted a decent effort over the distance first time up in 2024, in what was his first run since last May, before moving up to win over seven furlongs, when he was another who showed plenty of early pace.

On that basis a move back to a sprint trip may not be a negative.

20:00 (Kempton) King's Vanity

King’s Vanity can benefit from stepping back up to a mile in the Try Unibet’s New Acca Boosts Handicap.

The four-year-old shaped with plenty of promise over that trip on his sole start last term, beaten just under two lengths in fifth, before successfully dropping back slightly to win over seven furlongs last month.

While the official margin was a length, he looked good value for that as he hung a bit on the bend before eventually taking the lead inside the distance.

Kept to seven furlongs next time, he was unfortunate to bump into Metaverse who proved a touch too sharp after King’s Vanity took a keen hold early and expended a bit too much energy.

Given a mark of 84 following that third run, Andrew Balding could have something to work with here.
