Kempton best each-way bet (2030): Beauen Arrows poised to hit the target at tasty odds

Kempton Park

There’s a competitive card to enjoy at Kempton’s all-weather track on Wednesday, and the final race of the night should give race-goers plenty to talk about on the way home.

20:30 Kempton: Try Unibet’s Improved Bet Builder Handicap (6 furlongs)

The combination of first-time blinkers and in-form Rossa Ryan at the reins appears to set early favourite Revolucion up nicely to go one better than his two recent runner-up near misses at Lingfield earlier this month.

Tony Carroll’s Abolish is priced up to offer the biggest challenge, but the eight-year-old has only visited one winner’s enclosure in 28 attempts on the Flat, and after finishing fourth of seven in a similar event at Southwell a week ago, his price appears to hold little appeal.

Indeed, with four each-way places available pretty much across the board, there seems to be much more value up for grabs lower down the betting, with the aptly named Profit Or Loss looking an interesting outsider on his stable debut for George Baker after excelling in his two-year stint over the Channel in Jersey.

Arguably a more realistic prospect from closer to home, however, is bottom weight Beauen Arrows, who has been showing signs that he is knocking on the door of a long overdue maiden success after 18 fruitless attempts.

Michael Attwater’s five-year-old has had more than his fair share of near misses during his two full seasons on the track, and none nearer than his half-length second behind short-priced favourite Freetodream last time out over a longer seven-furlong trip at this venue three weeks ago.

That was the gelding’s second runner-up spot on the spin, having also finished one place behind another well-backed favourite over the same trip two weeks earlier, with the front two well clear of the other 11 runners.

With plenty of weight in hand from his higher-rated rivals here, this drop in trip could suit him nicely, given that he only just failed to see out the extra furlong last time out.

Suggested best bet: Beauen Arrows each-way in the 20:30 at Kempton
