Kempton best bet: Baileys Warrior has fighting chance under Rossa Ryan

Joe Tizzard’s Tamaris has emerged as the warm favourite, and there;’s plenty to like about this versatile performer, who landed back-to-back wins over fences in the autumn, and made the frame in both of his all-weather outings at Lingfield last month.
His low price might put some punters off, especially given the potential threat of Chacha Dancer, who returns from a lengthy to make his season and stable debut for Gary Brown after landing his only all-weather outing at Wolverhampton in June last year
Longuerue might be able to build on his never-nearer third of eight at Chelmsford two weeks ago, especially with David Probert now at the helm, but our final nod goes to Baileys Warrior, who has been showing some promising signs in recent outings.
Suggested best bet: Baileys Warrior in the 20:30 at Kempton
Although still winless in 22 attempts, he has knocked on the door several times, with two of his five runner-up spots coming in his last three outings over the last five weeks.
A week ago he was just outbattled by The Craftymaster over an extended two miles at Wolverhampton, but was comfortably clear of his other eight rivals, and that experience should bode well for his finishing effort over half a furlong less here.
More notable still is the booking of Rossa Ryan, who should be better equipped than any of his many predecessors to bring the best out of Deborah Faulkner’s six-year-old.
This all-weather specialist landed two winners and two each-way places from his four rides at Wolverhampton on Friday, and if he can transfer that form to kempton, then he might just be able to give Baileys Warrior a long-overdue introduction to the winner’s enclosure.
