Kempton best bet: Fravanco to take the glory in the last race of the day

With little to separate the top five in the betting, it seems that we have a cracking handicap on the cards and with plenty of each-way value too given that 13 are coming to post. 

Nivelle's Magic has been attracting attention in the market and it's clear to see why. 

She has won three of her last six at class six level, which is a mightily impressive record but the three races she didn't win in that run of form came at this course.

However, the booking of Rossa Ryan has the potential to turn the tide here, with the 23-year-old boasting an impressive strike rate of 17% in 2024 so far.

Devizes has the potential to be a contender here for trainer Pat Phelan, the eight-year-old has plenty of experience and is a course-and-distance winner, but that came back in 2021.

His last two runs have come over this course-and-distance, but he didn't get near the leaders, finishing fifth in both.

Our selection for this one is Fravanco and while the Michael Madgwick trained five-year-old hasn't displayed brilliant form recently, his last outing, which came over this course-and-distance, showed plenty of potential. 

Finishing second here last time out, ahead of the reopposing Devizes, and only two lengths behind hot favourite Tortured Soul, demonstrates that he has the potential to claim a spot in the winners enclosure, something that he hasn't done since a Lingfield victory in July 2023. 

If he improves as expected, he could be difficult to beat and the booking of Daniel Muscutt looks to be a good one as he rode Libra Tiger to victory here just under two weeks ago.

While it's a tough choice between Nivelle's Magic and Fravanco, the latter has the edge given his good performance over this course-and-distance last time out.
