Kelso Racecourse

Kelso Racecourse

It's Festive Fling Day at Kelso on Friday, December 29 and the Planet Sport tipsters are on the hunt for more winners.

Let's get ball rolling with some details on our selected horses at Kelso, and there's a full list of our tips at the bottom of the page.

Don't forget to check out the full racecard, results and live odds in Planet Sport's racing live centre.

12:45 (Kelso) Hashtag Boum

Hashtag Boum won over course and distance towards the end of last season.

Imaginary Drgaon placed twice from four hurdle runs including most recently returning from a long break at Newcastle. In the mix attempting this longer journey.

So Many Roads goes up in grade but can be competitive off bottom weight.

Dunnet Head looked a horse with a nice future when always doing enough at Carlisle but needs to bounce back from a poor subsequent effort at Ayr.

13:55 (Kelso) Young Buster

Young Buster is fancied to make it three from three over fences by prevailing in the Children’s Immunology Trust Supporting CHAS Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase.

The seven-year-old had plenty in hand when scoring at this track last month and has the scope to cope with a 9lb uplift, especially as his jumping can still improve.

14:28 (Kelso) Ip Up

Ip Up has only missed the frame once from six hurdling contests boasting two wins. Is a key player here raised in trip.

Nell's Bells made it two from four with hurdles producing a narrow victory at Newcastle when last seen in April.

Won twice when resuming and it would be foolish to rule out a big run.

Parvos pulled-up here on her first start for a new yard. Might bounce back on subsequent attempt.

Similar Story caught the eye when second at the track last time. Shortlist.

15:02 (Kelso) Walk On Quest

An open looking maiden hurdle with several holding viable chances including the tongue-tied debutant Walk On Quest who is having his first race under rules and is fresh from receiving wind surgery since a runner-up effort in a point-to-point earlier this year.

Hazy Glen won by six lengths on racecourse debut in a Carlisle jumpers flat prior to recording a decent midfield performance tackling a Listed affair on the flat at Cheltenham.

Isholo Du Vivien and Ballyfort can battle it out for the minor honours. Slight preference is for the latter who dons a first-time hood.

Kelso selections inf full:

KELSO: 12.10 To Chase A Dream, 12.45 Hashtag Boum, 1.20 Traprain Law, 1.55 Young Buster, 2.28 Ip Up , 3.02 Walk On Quest , 3.32 Camp Belan.
