Midnight Flame is only a three-year-old with 11 runs under her belt and looks to have more of a future than other runners. She has postmarked a high of 68 over today’s trip and postmarked over 60 in five of her races.

She has moved yards twice and is now with Joe Ponting who, after a summer break, has tried stepping her up to 7F and most recently 1 mile, but these have just not suited her, running keen and fading, but the runs will have been good for fitness and conditioning.

Her mark has dropped from a high of 66 to 52, allowing her to drop to this low grade for the first time. If she can regain her form, she will be well-positioned to win today.

Her dam won over 6F on the all-weather and is sired by top sprinter sire Dark Angel, so sprint trips should suit. She has been ridden prominently in the past, so coming out of stall one will really benefit her.

Charles Bishop is a good booking for the small yard as he has won for the yard from a small number of runs so the current price of 50/1 does represent value.
