Course and distance winner Gincident has three wins to his name in 2023 but he hasn’t managed better than fifth of 10 in his three recent runs and has to improve.

Propping up the market is the pairing of Young Fire and Visibility. Both of these are course and distance winners, but on the evidence, they should be outclassed on Tuesday.

Several entrants are racing on the back of an extended break, including the highly-touted Chantico, who we last saw in April.

He goes for new trainer Adrian Keatley on Tuesday and we’re expecting a much better than his previous run on unsuitable ground. It is worth noting his sole win did come at Lingfield on the all-weather.

He looked like a good prospect in all four appearances before Newbury and the combination of a step down in trip off of a very competitive mark appeals.
