The short-priced favourite, Oliver Show, has plenty to prove as he returns from 132 days off, an absence which incorporated a wind operation, to make his debut for George Boughey.
Previous trainer Sir Michael Stoute was campaigning this 3yo over a mile, a trip over which he won at Kempton in the summer, his only win to date, and it came in a weaker Class 4 than this one.
Another of the market leaders, Band Of Steel, is proving extremely hard to win with, and he has placed in only one of his six handicaps so far.
He has been dropped in trip from 11f to 10f to 8f and now to 7f, and with first-time cheekpieces and the hood returned, he still has lots to prove.
There is potentially some value to bad in the form of the two course and distance winners, Riot and Red Thunder.

The former arrives on the back of a win over course and distance last month, timing his run to the line perfectly and thus only having to pay a 2-lb penalty in the weights.
He is a specialist over course and distance with his six attempts producing two first-place finishes, a further three appearances in the frame and fifth.
Three of those efforts, including a win, came in Class 3 handicaps.
It’s also worth noting he was rated as high as 93 earlier in his career and his top three performances have all come on the all-weather.
Elsewhere, lightly-raced three-year-old Rogue Thunder is making is handicap debut on the back of a positive win and a generous mark could open the door, making him the next best bet.
Suggested bet: Riot to win the 18:30 at Chelsmford
