Haydock best bet: William Buick booked to bring best out of Typical Woman

Haydock to inspect as Storm Eunice takes its toll
Only seven runners line up for the final race of Wednesday’s Haydock meeting, and if the bookies have it right then the winner should come from one of the three market leaders.
17:10 Haydock: Linda Williams’ 60th Birthday Fillies’ Handicap (1 mile 3 furlongs 140 yards)
Of the four other contenders, only Julie Camacho’s Ready To Shine has shown the kind of form that might allow her to outrun her outside price, and having strung a few decent performances together, and now down in trip with first-time blinkers, she could be the one to gatecrash the principals’ party.
Those are headed by the Clive Cox-trained Movie Star Looks, who is the only entrant lining up off the back of a last-time-out success, having won a minor four-runner affair at Leicester a couple of weeks ago.
Real Terms won over this distance a year ago and should give a good account of herself now back up in trip, but pick of the top three fancies appears to be the Ian Williams-trained four-year-old Typical Woman, who showed steady improvement through the spring, culminating in her first turf success over this course and distance in July.

That success earned her a two-month break, from which she returned with a respectable 7th-of-15 finish on Southwell’s all-weather track ten days ago.
If that outline was used as a post-break pipe-opener, then Typical Woman should be primed to excel again on her return to turf, especially in the expert hands of William Buick, who was on board for July’s course-distance success, and whose return to the saddle looks significant here.
Suggested bet: Typical Woman each-way in the 17:10 at Haydock
