Harry Cobden’s Planet Sport Bet blog: Some solid rides at Lingfield on Sunday

Harry Cobden
Planet Sport Bet ambassador Harry Cobden, fresh from a rare free Saturday, previews his five rides at Lingfield on Sunday, January 21.
It’s obviously been a frustrating time with the majority of racing being off, but there’s not much we can do about it.
It’s a quiet time of year with most of Paul Nicholls' horses having their flu jabs, but hopefully the temperature warms up next week and we can get the show back on the road.
I have a nice book of rides on Sunday at Lingfield, so hopefully it beats the weather!
Sun 12:05 (Lingfield) Infantryman
I start with Infantryman in the bumper. He’s a French-bred four year-old who’s had one run, from which he would’ve learnt plenty, so we can expect to see some improvement.
I’m looking forward to seeing what this gelding can bring to the table. He has been bred for the Flat but has quite a smart pedigree and could have something to offer.
Sun 12:40 (Lingfield) Sweet Fantasy
Next up is Sweet Fantasy, who looks an interesting recruit over hurdles; for James Owen.
I must be honest, I’ve never ridden her so don’t know too much, but she was obviously highly rated on the Flat.
She has a very likeable pedigree and I’m excited to on Sunday. Obviously, Paul is my go-to, but a partnership with James will hopefully give me plenty of winners too.
Sun 14:25 (Lingfield) Midnightreflection
Midnightreflection is up next for Ben Case. It’s another opportunity on a horse I don’t know a great deal about.
I have seen the horse race plenty of times in the past, and she looks fairly straightforward. It will be interesting to see what Ben says, but another nice ride to get.
Sun 15:35 (Lingfield) O’Connell
I’m then on O’Connell in the Surrey National. He finished fourth, in what looked a respectable run at Market Rasen on Boxing Day.
He wouldn’t be a horse I know a great deal about, so I must do my homework for Sunday! He seems a nice horse on first impressions, though.
Sun 16:10 (Lingfield) Inthewaterside
Finally, the horse I rate highly, Inthewaterside. It’s his first time in a handicap and he seems to be going well at home.
He’s a big horse who handles soft ground, so hopefully the rain reaches Lingfield.
I think 120 is a fair mark, so if he settles and relaxes, I can see him running a big race.
