Harry Cobden’s Planet Sport Bet blog: Complete Unknown has perfect profile for Coral Gold Cup

Complete Unknown ridden by jockey Harry Cobden
Planet Sport ambassador Harry Cobden looks ahead to his rides at Newbury's two-day Coral Gold Cup meeting on Friday and Saturday (December 1-2).
Two winners on Friday with Kandoo Kid and Hermes Allen, how will Harry fair on Saturday at Newbury if racing goes ahead.

11:55 (Newbury) Belle Of Annandale
I haven’t ridden for Adrian Keatley before so it’s nice to be given the chance to ride Belle Of Annandale.
I don’t know too much about her, but she was very impressive last time and this looks to be the logical next step.
12:30 (Newbury) Quel Destin
Quel Destin was a little disappointing last time at Ascot but he’s been a grand horse for the yard and he could certainly go well here if he improves from that last run.
13:05 (Newbury) Emailandy
I then ride Emailandy who won really well at Plumpton last time.
I’m not sure how much strength in depth there was in that race but he did it well nonetheless.
He’s improving all the time, and he looks an interesting type.
13:40 (Newbury) Irish Hill
Irish Hill should come on leaps and bounds for the run at Kempton, which was his first start of the campaign.
It looks a competitive little race, but I was happy with the run last time and I expect he’ll improve a ton for that outing here. He might go well at a likely decent price.
14:50 (Newbury) Complete Unknown
The big race of the day is the Coral Gold Cup and I really excited about Complete Unknown.
He looks to have a lovely profile for the race and Paul has laid him out for it since the run at Newton Abbott.
I schooled him on Thursday and he was fantastic, so it’s all systems go.
If there was a slight negative it would be that I wouldn’t want the ground to be too quick for him as he seems to be a horse that is more effective on softer ground.
I know there are a few people querying whether he’ll stay the trip, but I actually think he wants it.
We’ll never know until we try it, but I’m quietly confident he might actually improve for it. If he does, you’ve got to be very hopeful.
In terms of getting a horse ready for the race, he’s had the perfect prep and Paul doesn’t often miss when he plans one out.
